Journal of Design Proofs

How does the design process work when you order a sign from SignSpecialist.com? Below you will find our running journal of designs and sign specifications for Magnetic Signs, Banners, Yard Signs, Metal Signs, Temporary Signs, and Truck Lettering. These are actual orders from previous customers.

Our journal is updated daily with new designs. We only post in our journal the initial layout designed to the customers specifications. By the time the sign goes in production, many times, the design has changed dramatically from the initial proof you'll see below. Such is the nature of the design process. Never-the-less, this should give you a good feel as to how we and our customers design custom sign orders. If you have any questions, as usual, let us know - we'll be glad to help.

Sign Details: Custom Truck Lettering; Size 20 x 26; Colors White; Desired Fonts and Text Would choose between Batman Forever; Boroughs; Flair; or Aero Extended for fonts. My truck is a 1992 International 8100; single axle. It’s red; although a little faded. It was a Fed Ex truck before I got it. We use it only as a farm truck; so I’m not concerned with any DOT #’s right now. The farm deals with cattle; wheat; and corn. I was thinking that I would like a picture of an angus cow; or bull; with the farm wording over the top; maybe like a semi-circle shape. The farm wording is “Rippe Farms LLC” and the town is “Ludell; KS” I’m not as concerned with the town; either; but if you think it looks ok; that’s fine. I wouldn’t be opposed to spending the extra $20; if you think that the cow would look better in black; or if you have some design with a cow/crops combination. Feel free to email back several designs or choices; that you think will look good; since you will be much better at that; than I would. The size area is 20″h X 26″ w; but that’s leaving a little extra room if you think it needs an inch or so; either way; or if it needs to be smaller. Email if you need cattle pictures. Thanks; Kevin Rippe
