 TRUCK INSTALLATION

New to CamoWraps installation? Not a problem at all. Just print out the following instructions and you'll soon be enjoying your new CamoWraps in no time at all!

  1. First of all, you'll need to clean the whole exterior of your vehicle and remove anything that could pose as an obstruction to you while you're installing Camowraps, for instance, the mirrors, moldings, handles, locks, emblems or anything that you've stuck to the vehicle before this.
  2. It is advisable for you to start the installation process at the back-right of the vehicle
  3. To ensure that you've got the size and placement correct, try placing CamoWraps against the panel to ensure that it fits just right. If it doesn't, this is the time that you can still make some minor changes to CamoWraps so that it fits to your vehicle to the T. Make sure that when you're measuring, you are giving a ½ inch leeway for overlapping so that they will appear seamless at the end of the installation process. When you're absolutely sure that it's where you want it to be the way you want it to be, use a masking tape and seal it.
  4. From the edge of the tape hinge, take off the back lining from your CamoWraps and slowly and carefully cover the panel thoroughly.
  5. Initially, you'll have to start off with very mild pressure. Squeegee the material over the panel slowly and gently over the area from the edge of where the tape is to the outer sides of the panel. Along the way, smoothen out any wrinkles and bubbles you can find on your way. Apply technique shown in Fig 2 if you see any emblems, trims or moldings.
  6. Now that you've got it in place, it's time to firm it up, apply a little bit more pressure by running your hands over the material.
  7. It's important to note that you should not attempt to stretch CamoWraps over areas whereby it's a little hard to reach or Body Lines areas. You might tear the material unintentionally. What you should do is to lift CamoWraps away from the panel and squeegee it firmly into the recess parts.
  8. Remove pre-mask. This only applies if your product comes with a pre-mask. If it doesn't, move on to the next step.
  9. Once you're done trimming the materials around any obstruction you can fine, use a pin to puncture the bubbles gently and then pushing all the air out of the bubbles. Or you can opt to squeegee toward the puncture.
  10. If you have to contend with lots of curves and dents when installing CamoWraps on your vehicle, use a heat gun, hair dryer and applicator brush or nylon-bristled hair brush to work out the wrinkles and bunches. Remember to apply low temperature only. Just heat it slightly while holding the heat source several inches away from the material and smoothen out CamoWraps over your vehicle panel.
  11. Cut part of the edges off a little toward the center of the material and overlap them so that the top goes over the bottom. The pieces should normally be about 0.5 in to 1in in access so that they can overlap each other properly. Press the edges together firmly with your fingers.
  12. When applying the material to wrap around places like the wheel opening, you'd have to slit it with access of more than just 1in (consider maybe 3in) in access so that it can wrap around the opening area properly. If you don't wish to wrap it around the edges, trim it to the edges and then press it down firmly with fingers.
  13. Once you've done the whole vehicle up, check and see if there are air bubbles. If there are, use firm pressure to press it down with your fingers.
  14. If you're satisfied with your work, reinstall all obstructions that you've earlier removed.

The amazing thing about CamoWraps is that, if in the future you need to remove CamoWraps, removal is simple. All you need is adequate heat to remove it. In fact, if you remove it within 5 years, there will be very little signs that you've actually applied CamoWraps there. So, if you want to remove CamoWraps, just warm the material up with a hairdryer, peel it off using your nails or fingertips, lift the edges of the material up. All this while, keep the heat over the area, continue to slowly lift the material as it disengages from your vehicle.
